Project Task Manager

Augustine Consulting, Inc. a professional services firm providing select services to national defense agencies, seeks an experienced Project Task Manager to serve as a part of the Company’s Technical Services team that supports PM Soldier Protection and Individual Equipment (PM SPIE). The Project Task Manager will provide day to day direction, management and oversight of contractor personnel in support of PM SPIE missions and objectives.


As Project Task Manager, you will:

  • Serve as the contractor on site program manager.
  • Provide day to day direction, management and oversight for contractor personnel.
  • Provide expert functional guidance to employees.
  • Interface with Government management to resolve problems.
  • Resolve contractor personnel problems and issues when identified by the Government lead or Contracting Officers’ Representative (COR).
  • Establish priorities of work to subordinates based on Government goals and objectives
  • Interface between Government customer, COR and Contractor
  • Perform other PM direct support functional roles
  • Distribute and balance workload in accordance with established workflows and assure timely accomplishment of the assigned workload
  • Give on the job training to new employees in accordance with established procedures and practices
  • Lead the team in assessing its strengths and weaknesses and provide leadership to the team in exploring alternatives and determining improvements
  • Articulate and communicate to the team the assignment, problem to be solved, actionable events, milestones, suspenses and time frames for completion
  • Assign work to personnel according to workload, ability and priority of assignment and provides instruction and assistance as necessary on problems or issues
  • Responsible for interviewing, hiring and training contractor employees
  • Responsible for performance of all contractual requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and greater than 15 years’ relevant experience.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Demonstrated competency in communications, leadership, team management, negotiation, personnel organization, defense acquisition system, team and risk management.
  • Must have the ability to communicate with executive management to ensure program related issues are addressed.
  • Have the ability to think and act independently in a distributed work situation.
  • Must possess a SECRET clearance.


Desired Qualifications:

A thorough understanding of operating a computer, which includes Microsoft Office 365 Suite of applications.

Possess the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Ability to obtain a TOP SECRET Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security clearance.
